We had purchased a Salwar Suit from the CITY CENTRE 2, RAJARHAT , KOLKATA Store on 19.12.2009 by paying the full price.

On the first wear itself, stitching on the front side of the Salwar Suit came off and we went to the concerned store to complain about the poor merchandise. The Store Manager first said that "No exchange after 30 Days" to which I explained him that this is not an exchange, it is a replacement. It is very derogatory and unpleasant to see that the Manager of such a Store is so illiterate that he doesn't have basis knowledge of English language. He didn't know the difference between "Exchange" and "Replacement".

After about 30 minutes of explaining him the difference, he came up with another argument, that we have not preserved the TAG of the Salwar Suit and hence he won't rectify the poor stitching work.

To this, I explained that the Customer is not supposed to preserve the TAG. I have preserved the Original Invoice Copy and that should be sufficient.

Even the Invoice says that: "No guarantee on unstitched fabrics" which implies that "there is guarantee for stitched products". To my utmost frustration and shock, the Store Manager was very uneducated, lacked basis common sense, ill-mannered.

Thereafter, the Store Manager realized that he is losing all his grounds and then he took the Salwar Suit and asked me to leave the store. He bullied me and behaved like a road-side retailer.

The Salwar Suit is in his possession and it is a clear case of day-light robbery, wherein physical force was applied to take away my belongings.
