I think with most laptops you wont get an OS, this is just to cut down the price (this is not a good move for piracy prevention though)... How long you have been using it? Don't feel bad but many people say that ACER starts giving problem once it is a bit old... so just wanted to find out. Thanks for the post.

I think u r talking abt DESKTOP..but my review is abt LAPTOP.Many well known brands like HCL provide O.S with their LAPTOPS.And as far as piracy prevention is concerned, do u know 95% of people in india use pirated softwares and operating system for personal use because they cannot afford huge price for the original copy.On the other hand,they can get it free of cost from other resources.

I agree with KR.i hav been using the same laptop and im very satisfied.Even computer engineers themselves use pirated softwares for their personal use.The original software comes with a huge price tag,so it is impossible to buy them(considering the large amt of softwares they require ).Privacy Prevention is not a relevant issue here.
