If, yes then why Kapil Sibal is not outright banning sites like xvideos.com and pichunter.com but instead trying to strangle google, facebook and youtube? If, no then why Karnataka ministers were asked to resign? Or watching porn is illegal but you can shoot porn movies like N D Tiwari did in Raj Bhavan?

As per the Cyber Laws watching porn is not illegal but transmitting porn through the internet or otherwise is illegal.Watching the same in privacy is not much to be charged against but watching the same in a public place like the Legislative Assembly definitely should be punishable. Again exhibition of sexually harmful material is an offence and those found guilty should be brought to book. I happen to be a part time college professor and have many a time caught red handed male students watching porn in the class taking advantage of the wifi facility that the college has provided.

I believe watching porn in public or mass circulating porn clips through MMS or mail is illegal, but sending mail with a caution or watching clips privately is acceptable. Now the clincher is with 3G technology live porn relay will be an issue ?

CB, the question is not about legality but morality, is it what for the voters are sending the members to the house? By the way, I think you can be charged for cleverly circulating URLs of 2 porn sites in public domain ;)
