The entry of foreign universities will only hike the cost of education, whether quality of education will go up is the issue We only hope it does so. Of course the chances of students passing out may end up with lucrative jobs abroad.

It is going to improve the quality of education because they have at least modern and relevant topics under subjects, Calcutta university is teaching something so much antiquated that many students in the Western universities have never heard about them! There is no reform, revision in syllabus or teaching methods and we can hope these things will change with the foreign universities being allowed.

I think it will increase the cost of education than the quality of education..!!!

One of the oldest universities in the world is Nalanda. Those days scholars from all over the (civilized) world use to come there. Like the Kohinoor and many similar jewels we could preserve it from the plunder of the west. And are now expected to buy 'education' from them. I guess it's a karmic price we are paying for our collective callousness.
