The campaign is aimed at creating awareness about environmental issues by involving the people of India to make a difference. The campaign is supported by TERI and India's Minister for Environment.

As part of this year's drive Milind Soman will run 1500 kms from Delhi to Mumbai, starting on April 20, 2012 and ending in Mumbai on May 20, 2012, when Greenathon 4 will have its gala annual fund raising telethon.
