Mamata Banerjee is an Illiterate, Mad Despot says Kiran Mazumdar Shaw of Biocon

Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, chairman and MD of Biocon Limited of Bangalore came out strongly against TMC chief and West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday, tweeting that her party was going to be a "bane" for West Bengal.

"Mamta is a dangerous, populist demagogue: economically illiterate but politically astute --deadly combo!" Shaw tweeted.

"Mamta is a sad reflection on just how feudal our society and culture is - talk of human rights!" she added.

Kinran continued, "Yielding to Mamta n showing Trivedi the door is a very sad day for Indian politics --UPA Govt is in office but not in power. Mamta is behaving like a mad despot. Political leadership is in deficit with such irrational behaviour that can only harm the poor."

Dinesh Trivedi has come out with a well thought out railway budget but shot down by a thoughtless interfering despotic Mamta Bannerji.

Meanwhile, entrepreneur Rahul Bajaj took on the West Bengal chief minister, saying, "It was a very bold budget and he is a brave man to take such a tough call of increasing fares after ten years. I would have wished to see him around as the Railways Minister. However, it is very unfortunate that his own party is now distancing him."

"It is not a happy situation," Rahul Bajaj added.

Derek O'Brien, the TMC MP was seen yesterday defending Mamata's decision at the Newshour with Arnab Goswami. Derek was very entertaining with his defense and said that increasing railway fare is against the DNA of TMC as it will hit poorest of the poor. The clown spokesman of TMC does not know that as long as we will have leaders like Mamata Banerjee, the poorest of poors can only travel without ticket!

Today, there was a news in the newspaper. Mamata was aware of what was going to happen in the budget, that is there would be hike in tariff. She was looking for an excuse to kick out Dinesh Trivedi.It is reported that a newly joined TMC leader, who is the owner of a cheat fund was orchestrating the entire show against Dinesh.

The funnest part is that Mamata is now ordering the bankers not to proceed against the defaulters of loans that is they should not confiscate any property which is kept as mortgage.In fact management of one of the rural banks had proceeded to auction the properties of a regular and habitual defaulter, a notice was also isued against them. However Mamata had ordered the top management of the bank to see her at Writer's Building and they were bashed left, right and center. In fact Mamata had instructed that defaulter to file a GD against the bank authority. She is doing this to gain popularity because Panchayaet Elections are scheduled within a few months..cont..

This way the banking system would collapse with high non performing assets.May be in the future she would order the rural banks to distribute cash to the villagers without getting their signatures on the payment vouchers. This proves that she is the most incompetent administrator we have ever seen. She is more keen to garland statues, celebrate birthdays,play Rabindra Sangeets for no reasons and whenever she is in good mood, she draws some meaningless paintings. Some of these paintings were bought by a group of upstart businessmen before the Assembly election. These upstart businessmen were very close to some CPI(M) leaders, suddenly they changed their guards & invested huge money on Mamata's paintings and accompanied her during her election campaigns.God only knows where this lady would take West Bengal. We have had enough of traumatic experience during left front ruling, now may be something more traumatic is waiting for us. May god save the people of West Bengal!!!

Holy Cow!!! I want Mamta Banerjee to take additional charge of CM for some other states, the credit card defaulters can be a bigger vote bank than her traditional one if she supports them like she is supporting the farmers.

I wonder what future is there for West Bengal? If the left front rule was no good, and TMC do not seem much different, what other option do they have?

The fact is, and I say it at the risk of hurting some people's feelings, that West Bengal is so insignificant to India in the scheme of things that it hardly matters what happens there. There have hardly been any personality in the last few decades who are known outside their borders except for Dada Ganguli and the clown Foreign Minister.

There is no industry worth the name, there is no robust middle class, people are just expecting the government to fix all problems. Those who want to progress in life look to move westwards. I met some Bengalis working in IT in Delhi a couple of years ago; they were rueing the fact that they had to eat 'paneer' at breakfast, lunch and dinner since they left beloved Kolkata for Delhi to progress in life. So sad!
