Man banned from Facebook for using it to bed 300 women

"A British man has been banned from Facebook after he used the social networking site to bed more than 300 women."

Clive Worth, 60, an ex-miner, from Pontyates, South Wales, who claims to have bedded 1,500 women he met online, has had to delete his profile four times.

Worth, who has also been banned from five dating websites after jilted conquests reported him, is now posing as a woman and trying to convert lesbians.

"They get upset and report me, saying I'm just after sex," the Sun quoted him as saying.

Facebook has in a statement clarified that it is not a place to set up dates.

"Facebook is not the place to meet people you don't know, it is about connecting and sharing with your existing friends," the statement read.

Was YouTube born after a dinner party? That's the official story. Apparently, three guys named Steve Chen, Chad Hurley and Jawed Karim decided to put it together because they couldn't figure out a way to share video footage taken at the party in question.

Irrespective of whether or not that story is apocryphal -- and it does sound suspiciously like the creation of some poor marketing grad with questionable skills -- it's hard for people born in the '90s to consider a world without the video-sharing juggernaut we now know so well.

The domain name went live on Valentine's Day, incidentally, and a mere five years ago at that. The first video uploaded two months later depicted Karim at a zoo in California. It was titled, rather succinctly, 'Me At The Zoo.' Since that humble effort, YouTube has grown to serve approximately 24 hours of new video content every minute.

How do they do it? Monetise, I mean. Considering the daily cost of operations must now put the GDP of a few small countries to shame, it's still interesting to try and figure out how the Google-owned behemoth intends to further milk its massive amount of content.

Thanks to the impressive mileage it offers everyone, from amateur ventriloquists to the execrable Justin Bieber, no one's going to beat it at its game anytime soon. YouTube now wields enormous cultural -- and, to a lesser extent, political -- influence. That this influence continues to hugely benefit its parent company, still makes it valuable, but that won't stop other video-sharing sites from asking themselves: 'If they can't, how can we?' It's also interesting to try and figure out how it aims to offer users a better experience than, say, potential rivals like Vimeo (.com) or Hulu (.com).

Maybe money isn't the point though. Maybe every once in a while, we ought to put aside revenue models and simply celebrate a product for what it helps us do: in this instance, capture our lives in real time, preserving a sense of who we are so our great grandchildren can one day smile in recognition.

Breaking News: Advocate murdered in court

"A 25-year-old lady advocate was stabbed to death in the Karnataka High Court premises on Thursday. Naveena was attending a matter at the court hall number 4 when she was stabbed at 1.50 pm".

The victim was on the first floor of the high court, when Rajappa stabbed her multiple times on her face neck and body. He then ran towards the toilet and attempted to slit his own throat but was held by a group of advocates and the court's security staff. Rajappa was then rushed to the Mallya hospital.

According to sources, Naveena and Rajappa (28), who worked worked under senior High Court advocate Venkatesh, were having an affair.

Recently Rajappa was upset and was telling fellow advocates that Naveena had cheated on him and that he would not spare her.

Naveena was working under senior advocate Prakash Shetty who was shocked on hearing about the incident.

Senior officials, including Joint Commissioner Alok Kumar, Law minister Suresh Kumar visited the spot..

Brazilian alleges rape by landlord

"Mass Communication student claims the accused sexually assaulted her twice and had made a third attempt"

Not once, not twice but thrice 27-year-old Tina (name changed) relived the nightmare again and again. The Brazilian national who was staying at a rented accommodation in Greater Kailash Part-2, claims her landlord Amarjeet Singh (42) raped her twice on June 20 and 21 and made a third attempt on June 27.

Tina had arrived in India on June 7 and had joined an institute of Mass Communication in Noida. She shifted into Amarjeet's house on June 19. She alleges that the next day the accused offered her some coffee. After drinking it she fell unconscious and Amarjeet raped her.

On the 21st the episode was reenacted. But when on the 27th Amarjeet allegedly made a third attempt, Tina retaliated because she wasn't unconscious. On June 29 she reported the matter at the C R Park police station.

The police took her for a medical examination. After the report was received an FIR was lodged against Amarjeet under sections 376 and 503 of the IPC. The police arrested the accused late on Tuesday evening. He will be produced in court on Wednesday.

"We have registered an FIR (no. 148) at the C R Park police station on the complaint of the Brazilian lady and have arrested the accused Amarjeet Singh. The incident was reported from his house (no. E-483) in G K Part-2. Amarjeet is a money exchanger and a property dealer," a police officer confirmed.

Joggers' sex lives "more active"

A new British survey has revealed that joggers have more active sex lives than non-runners.

The survey, which questioned 1,000 runners and 1,000 non-runners, found that one in ten joggers have sex at least once a day and three per cent of joggers said they have sex twice a day.

Amongst those who never run, one in four said they had sex once a month or less.

The poll, carried out for health care charity Sue Ryder Care, also found that one in ten male runners think about sex while exercising.

On the other hand, only five per cent of woman said they think about sex while running and almost half spend their time thinking about how the exercise is benefiting them.

In the survey, a quarter of joggers admitted going running to help them flirt with the opposite sex in a trend branded ''flunning''.

More than a third said they have managed to strike up a conversation with someone of the opposite sex while running.

"Last year runners raised over 500,000 pounds for Sue Ryder Care so we wanted to find out what motivates people to run," the Telegraph quoted Laura Savory, Running and Events Manager at Sue Ryder Care, as saying.

"We were tickled to discover this new craze which seems to have really caught on everywhere. We estimate that there are almost 600,000 flunners in the UK. It''s a great opportunity for single runners to get out there and find their lovematch.

"We''re hoping this will encourage more Brits to get running," Savory added.

What happened to Ranjitha?

"Sources say that Ranjitha, seen in a sex tape with Nithyananda, has written to the CID asking them not to bother her, quoting medical issues, but the agency denies receiving any such communication"

Even as detectives from the Crime Investigation Deportment (CID) struggle to file charges against Swami Nithyananda in the rape case, the main witness and victim, actress Ranjitha says that she can't turn up for the enquiry.

Ranjeetha, who has allegedly appeared in the sex romp tape with the swami, is understood to have written a letter to the CID asking to be excused from attending a questioning session, citing health reasons.

'I'm in the US'

The alleged letter said that Ranjitha was in the US with her sister and was undergoing medical treatment.

"I will inform you once I am better, but please don't search for me until then," the actress has added in the letter.

When they sent the first notice in May, she had said they could not force her to attend the questioning session as it was against the law.

"While Ranjitha is quoting the law, we are helpless in building the case against Nithyananda," said an officer with the investigating team. "If there is no cooperation, how can we nab the culprits?"

According to the complaint lodged by Lenin Kuruppan, an estranged disciple of Nityananda, the swami had forced unnatural sex with a boy. But, the CID is yet to find the victim.

But CID officials denied receiving any such letter, and said that they were still looking for her. "This is just a rumour and we have not received any such letter," said M N Reddy, inspector general, CID.

But, they could not file a chargesheet against the swami without Ranjitha's statement, as they are yet to gather solid evidence.

"They had to file the chargesheet within 60 days, as the accused was in judicial custody.

Since they failed do so, Nithyananda got the bail. If this continues, the case may be dismissed all together," said HS Chandramouli, who appeared for Nithyananda in the court before the present lawyers replaced him.

According to sources in the CID, it was the second time that the investigating officers had sent a notice to Ranjitha, asking for her presence at the enquiry.

Amulya's kiss

Had director Ratnaja paid up Rs 1 crore ransom to blackmailers, 14 intimate pictures of him kissing Sandalwood sensation and second-year PUC student Amulya would not have been made public, sources in Gandhinagar say.

The sources say the blackmailers also possess a one-minute video of Ratnaja with Amulya, who starred in the director's latest film Premism that could create a bigger controversy.

The video of the two getting intimate is believed to have been shot in Belgaum.

"Ratnaja had pictures of intimate moments he shared with Amulya during the shooting of Premism in September last year saved on his mobile phone.

The phone was misplaced and it found its way to the blackmailers who began calling Ratnaja and demanding he pay them Rs 1 crore. When they did not get the money, they made the pictures public," said the source.

Vijaylakshmi, Amulya's mother, told MiD DAY that the pictures were morphed. "I'm completely shocked. The pictures have been put out by mischiefmongers jealous of Amulya's success. We will fight for justice."

1 kiss = 2 films

Sources allege Ratnaja has promised Amulya that she would get to play the lead actress in the next two projects if she let him kiss her. The actor's family deemed the allegations unfair.

"I don't know what to say in the face of such allegations," said Deepak K, Amulya's brother. "All these pictures are morphed. That's all I can say for now."

Sweetest language tag for Bengali?

The Bengali New Year couldn't have started on a sweeter note. If a message circulating on social networking sites like Twitter and Facebook is to be believed, Bengali has been voted the sweetest language in the world.

Conducted by Unesco, the vote ranks Spanish and Dutch as the second and third sweetest tongues respectively. Even though Twitter and Facebook users have started celebrating, there was yet no official confirmation from Unesco which conducted the online voting a couple of months back.

Messages and postings like "Joy Bangla", "Proud to be a Bengali" and "Banglar Joy" have flooded social networking sites. Celebratory messages are being exchanged, though some felt it could be premature. Rahul Ray, who came across the news on Twitter four days ago, was ecstatic. "If so many people are talking about it, this has to be true. There can't be any doubt that Bengali is a sweet language. Now, it has been accepted that it is indeed the sweetest," said Ray.

According to twitter messages, the formal announcement could come on Rabindranath Tagore's 150th birth anniversary in May. "There is no doubt that Bengali is a sweet language," said author Dibyendu Palit.

Singer C Ashwath passes away at the age of 70

Today morning singer C Ashwath passes away at the age of 70. He was admitted on 17/12/09 to Columbia Asia Hospital Yashwanthpur, Bangalore when he was suffering from the rigorous stomach ache.

He was suffering from severe pain & was taken to ICU at Columbia Asia Hospital. He was given the treatment for liver& Kidney problem. Doctor had explained that C Ashwath reacting well to the dealing & soon he would be back to typical condition.
