Some elements of the Italian Congress Party of India is trying their best to coin a new term called "Hindu Terrorism" but they don't understand that these two words are as incompatible as Islam and democracy!
And in the great tradition of Islamic democracy, another state named Yemen is slowly moving toward the proclamation of "Banana Republic". A London based think-tank says that Yemen is facing an economic and political crisis as the country's oil resources near exhaustion. The Royal Institute for International Affairs warns that instability there could expand a zone of lawlessness from northern Kenya to Saudi Arabia. It describes Yemen's democracy as "fragile" and points to armed conflicts with Islamists and tribal insurgents. One diplomat says that the country's prospects get worse every month. The World Bank predicts that Yemen's oil and gas revenues will plummet over the next two years and fall to zero by 2017 as supplies run out. Given that they provide around 90% of the country's exports, this could be catastrophic. An unnamed energy expert is quoted in the report as saying that this points to economic collapse within four of five years time. Though the failed state is nothing new in the Islamic world as our western neighbour is often described as a "model failed state" just short of a "banana republic", another one is Somalia where Indian Navy is fighting sea pirates and teaching them one or two good lessons. But Yemen passing into the banana zone is significant because Yemen gets special inspiration from none other than Godfather of Islamic Terror, Haji Osama Bin Laden. Osama's father hails from Yemen though Osama's karambhoomi is the Holy Land of Saudi Arabia. Now Yemen becoming a failed state will open the way to piracy, smuggling and a flourishing jihad with implications for the security of shipping routes and the transit of oil through the Suez Canal. Also it will inspire the Saudis to a greater extent to wholly embrace jihad and dedicate their lives in the path laid down by the greatest son of Saudi Arabia Osama Bin Laden.

Nice blog and cartoon, do you know that now they have issued a fatwa against yoga? I think they are on a self destruction route which is actually good for the larger liberal society, sooner they destroy themselves better for us.

Hello Hari, Indian govt should become more proactive, shoot down all the pirate ships, there should be no negotiation. I am wondering why US navy does not send its frigates for practise. They are rusting without action.
