A blog is a personal online diary maintained by an individual with regular entries of commentary and description of events. The term blog came from the word "web log" which was coined by John Barger in 1997. Peter Merhloz broke the word web log into the phrase "we blog" in 1999 and then the word became popular as both a noun and verb. Everyday bloggers are writing about 200K posts around the world on various topics ranging from personal diaries to world polictics. Blogging has become so popular in India that our Bollywood actors have also started unveiling their thoughts through their personal blogs. Women live 3 yrs younger than men on average, according to the office of National Statistics in the UK. But why?
Heart - A womans heart is just as strong at the age 70 as it is at age 17. The power of male heart falls by 20-25 per cent between age 18-70. Genes – Where women hv 2 X chromosomes, men hv one X and one Y chromosome which makes mens cells susceptible to ageing n damage. Immune system – Women produced more infection-fighting white blood cells (T-cells) thn their male counterparts. Researchers discovered tht the thymus gland, which produces T-cells, makes fewer cells as people age. Yet older women still had higher levels of new T-cells thn men of same age. Sleep – Women are better at coping with minor sleep deprivation. While women manage to get an average of 70 mins deep sleep each night, men only managed to snatch 40 mins. Diets – Men are more likely to eat meat-based dishes while women opt for a variety of foods including fresh fruit, vegetables, nuts, eggs n yoghurt. Reproduce – Menopause protects older women frm bearing children in later life n allows them live long enough to take care of their families. A man purpose is to carry genes tht ensure longevity n pass them on to their daughters. Thus, female longevity becomes the force tht determines that natural life span of both men n women. Smoking – Smoking causes around 18% of deaths in adults aged 35 and over every year in the UK. Shockingly, 23% of men will die of a smoking-related disease, compared to 14% of women. - From various statistics, studies n research done in UK Comments (2) Login to post your comment lady_macbeth wrote on 28 August, 2009
