TRP Stars of the Indian Television

TRP Stars of the Indian Television Recently a lot of stars have fallen from their high galaxy and has fallen on the silver screen. You can now see high profile film stars hosting reality shows on every channel. Music directors and directors have been a part of reality music shows for a long time. Now the actors have joined them. The first actor to make an appearance on television was Amitabh Bachhan. Back then it was considered to be a very bad decision. A lot of people, including his family had doubts. Big B proved them all wrong. Kaun Banega Crorepati was a big hit and Amitabh Bachhan received a lot more than just adulation. Then there was the sequel to the show where Big B recreated his magic. Although Amitabh Bachhan earned a lot of money, respect and love through this show, the 3rd time, the show was hosted by Shahrukh khan. This time too the viewers went gaga over the actor as well as the show. These actors proved that they can do more than just acting.

Nowadays every actor is trying their luck at anchoring tv shows. Salman Khan is doing a show called Dus ka Dum, Akshay Kumar has been roped in to anchor the Fear Factor India show, Shahrukh Khan is doing Kya Aap Pachvi Pass se Tez hai? Urmila Matondkar is hosting a music reality show called Waar parivaar and Hrithik Roshan is the ambassador of a show called Junoon kuch kar dikhaneka. All of these actors are earning big bucks doing television shows. It is really not yet clear whether the actors are doing television shows for the money or for the exposure or just because they like it. Whatever it is, the channels are very happy with the TRP ratings and the public are also very happy because they get to interact with their favourite super stars.

Although it's all very nice for the stars and the public, this whole thing is not so very good for the television anchors who are suddenly out of demand. Who would want an ordinary TV host when they can get superstars to host the show? The amazing thing is that when filmstars make an appearance on the silver screen, the shows sell like hot cakes but when television stars make an appearance in any film, people don?t seem to like that much. Amar Upadhhay?s few films crashed and burned at the box office. The only person who could stir people?s interest is Rajeev Khandelwal. His debut film Aamir is widely appreciated and critically acclaimed. However, this is an exception.

With the growing rate of television shows starring Bollywood actors, I guess the stars are here to stay. Maybe they?ll be seen in daily soaps in a few years. Lets just wait and watch.
