Many pundits may be laughing when I write that featuring of a Tata bus in an international music video is a bigger feat that the rollout of Tata Nano but they will realize it one day that this is a much larger feat for Tata in its initiative of internationalization of Tata brand.
It is probably the first time that an Indian brand has featured in international pop culture where we are accustomed to see only American and European brands. I will be tempted to offer cascading kudos to Tata's PR team if it was a result of their effort! But I doubt and I will even go further that probably the Tata PR team don't yet know about it that a ordinary Tata bus which is such a common iconic symbol of India has found it's place in the context of the video where a group of people parties in the Tata bus of the 80s with a full blast. I was casually watching VH1 and I could not believe my eyes to see that it was a Tata bus! It is an indicator that Tata is becoming an accepted brand in the global context and more in the context of Africa and developing economies where probably the Tata name spells reliability and affordability. I hope the Tata management would take note of this historic development and get encouraged to better the brand image of Tata buses and automobiles. If someone really deserve the kudos then it is none other than Jamshedji Tata whose dream was to make India industrially self sufficient and assert its rightful place. Yes Tata s are now limping back to limelight. There have been concerns of greenpeace activists in their port project @ Dharma Orissa over slaughter of Oliver Ridley turtles. i believe they will get over these protests and find an amicable solution to the problem. There is no ground level protest against TATA this time around. Nano is taking the car maket by storm, but due to recession the effect is less

Hellow Mr Papa Gandhi, I think you still have some baggage of the scam site from where you are coming from, what do you mean by this blog does not have any matter? I think you don't understand much about brands and the impacts brand create in popular culture.

Thanks cosmic for your support but let us not be harsh on papagandhi, it seems he has been humiliated in some forum and so he may have written this out of sheer frustration and old habit, welcome to admanya papagandhi, here we do not believe in mouthshutting and so you go ahead with full throttle to enjoy the freedom of speech, but please don't misuse or abuse the freedom which you will get here.
