Things you can do
A blog is a personal online diary maintained by an individual with regular entries of commentary and description of events. The term blog came from the word "web log" which was coined by John Barger in 1997. Peter Merhloz broke the word web log into the phrase "we blog" in 1999 and then the word became popular as both a noun and verb. Everyday bloggers are writing about 200K posts around the world on various topics ranging from personal diaries to world polictics. Blogging has become so popular in India that our Bollywood actors have also started unveiling their thoughts through their personal blogs. Frisking of Shri A P J Abdul Kalam, ex-president of India by an American airlines staff is not all surprising when 1.1 billion people of this country is ruled by an uneducated Italian lady from questionable family background.
As a matter of fact, it serves the nation right as the largest and oldest political party of the country cannot find an able leader out of 1.1 billion population. Though Manmohan Singh is the prime minister but even a naive person knows that the country is being ruled by none other than Ms. Sonia Maino, the Italian. Every nation has a self esteem but this country which still is governed by some powerful political families in the name of democracy is more interested in vested interests of its ruling class than prestige or esteem. If this government has really guts, then it takes 20 hours for the Continental boss to fly to New Delhi to tender a personal apology to Kalam and more importantly the people of this country. But this government is now making a greater mockery for it's one of the few inspirational presidents, Dr Kalam by lodging an FIR against a low cadre airline employee who frisked Kalam and even asked him to take off his shoes. The government should immediately ask Continental to wind up from India and asked them to leave bag and baggage by 24 hours out of the country. Also all Continental aircraft flying within Indian air space should be grounded or hounded away. Indian parliament should immediately bring a legislation that only Indians born out of Indian parents can contest an election or assume office of any high position and all foreigners should be banned whether they have got a citizenship or not. The time has come for such an act, it would be more honorable for India to have even Pervez Musharaff as it's prime minister than Sonia Maino. I hope we cannot sit "comfortably dumb" but act soon before we are more ridiculed at the hands of other nations because of our weakness and lack of character. See the difference or Dr Kalam with other politicians of IIIrd world, of course he is not a man of politics, so he is so polite. His frisking shows how India's President gets public attentions (pity). However, the Airline apologized and I believe Dr Kalam is a person of such heights that he can well ignore such ignominy with stoic attitude. "Mera Bharat Mohan!"
