It is interesting to note that in spite of being perceived as "honest" Dr. Manmohan Singh, prime minster of India is under heavy public scrutiny and today he challenges the opposition in parliament to probe his assets and try him if found guilty.
One single question comes to our mind after learning about this is whether Manmohan Singh is really honest? The question is more disturbing in the present context because an honest man cannot have so much of a "scheming" mind which is being reflected in his handling of Anna Hazare's fast. Manmohan has a Ph.D. in flip-flop and Honorary D. Lit in cooking. He says that he is very much concerned about Anna's health for public consumption and actually when Anna is forced to continue on his 9th day of fast yesterday evening as the UPA govt. backtracked on their earlier promise, Manmohan gives a grand Iftaar party last evening with 89 dishes including the Grand Halal Double Butter Chicken (chicken in chicken) - a delicacy invented by Nehru. Let's be more objective and figure out how honest is our prime minister Manmohan Singh. Well, to start with, Manmohan Singh has never been elected by people of India to become the prime minister, his only qualification to become prime minister is that he is a non-problematic loyalist of Antonio Maino and when the need arises he will vacate his chair for Nehru Gandhi Maino scion Rahul (Raiul Vinci as per his Italian passport) to become the natural PM of India. But even that is alright as we are under Pasta Invasion but Manmohan Singh gives an address in Assam to get elected from Rajya Sabha whereas he has never lived in that state for even 1 week at a stretch and total 30 days in his entire life. The prime minster gives a false affidavit by giving a Guwahati address that he is a resident of Assam, is it honesty? The next big lie is that today he said they he has steered the bankrupt economy of India to one of the fastest growing in the world, well he is probably suffering from dementia and that is an enough medical condition why he should quit his office at once. The "liberal economy" which he was referring today was the brain child of Sri Narashima Rao and Congress has conveniently forgotten the great statesman to whom every Indians (specially the young people of this country) owe a lot. I appeal to Jagan Reddy to take this up and reestablish the Telegu pride by renaming Hyderabad's international airport after Narashima Rao. Dr. Singh, you are very intelligent but there were other clever politicians in India too. You may not have amassed wealth like your cabinet colleagues but is it not feasible that your kins and friends have been benefited hugely by your position or may be too much hugely due to the liberal economy which as per your claim you have single handedly brought to the bankrupt India. I want to tell you that if India was ever bankrupt, it was bankrupt of honest leaders who have national pride and who will not tale orders from Obrassano or Sicily. Jyoti Basu or Atal Behari Vajpayyee also did not steal from government vaults but we all know how Chandan Basu and Atal Ji's son-in-law became industrialists from nowhere, are you sure that none of your relatives have become industrialists overnight or you consider it a "liberal economic phenomenon"? You don't have a "magic wand" to end corruption in this country but you have all the time and energy to evade, block and finally sabotage Independent India's first democratic movement that is not sponsored by money or liquor. You talk about the "Tyranny of unelected" but have you made any efforts to let the countrymen know that you have never fought an election and still become the prime minister of the country? You are a simple man but you are spending your time scheming with your cabinet colleagues how to kill a democratic and spontaneous people's movement where the young generation is inspired by a true Gandhian like Anna Hazare. You better have been a little more less honest but still we would have got a prime minister that has guts to listen to the youth of this country than taking orders from a mason's daughter from Italy.
