The country which is likely to beam pictures from moon in few days alas cannot send a single photo of Manipur blast till the time I am writing this blog.
The blast happened in Manipur's capital city, Imphal at 7.20 pm and 4 hours have elapsed and not a single TV news channel I know has shown a single photo from the blast scene. So what's going on? Is Manipur not a part of India or the 17 people who have already lost their life does not mean anything to us? It is shame that a country which is sending moon mission cannot get a photo beamed in 4 hours from ground zero of a terrorists blast in one of its state capital. The technological prowess of India is still mostly on paper and when it comes to testing times, we always falter. Have the journalists and officials already taken their nightcap? The insurgency of the north east states is mainly because of the neglect in development in these states by India for 60 years, these states are now completely lawless and actually governed by factions of insurgents. Their only business is extortion in the name of freedom or rights movement and they are indirectly supported by corrupt government officials. All this is happening in tax payer's money.

Hello dear we got to learn lesson from Isrealis, to keep bomb blasts and terror attacks on low key. I think the media is at last showing restraint. It is a daily phenomenon in Manipur for the past 5 years. Manipuris are agitating against the presence of Indian army. The day Indian army is withdrawn, chinese will occupy this territory. So let us not highlight such anti national acts.

@ derebail, Why we are not doing the same thing in Kashmir? The Kashmiri terrorists and separatists are almost glorified by our TV channels, these anti-nationals and mass murderers are giving interviews almost everyday in prime time, why we are not ignoring them too?

yes, it is just a lame excuse, north east is always neglected by India, make development there and northeast will make India proud in every way, the insurgency in north east is not an islamic insurgency and so there is a better chance of a settlement if we can respect the local culture, the just want 2 things development and respect, I spent my childhood in north east and I can tell you that people are extremely nice and they are far from hostile against India or Indian army, they consider themselves very much part of India, it is India who is ignoring them and giving step motherly treatment. @ Ranger the media should definitely take restrain on beaming visuals of Kashmiri agitation, but we have a wonderful check and balance situation at Jammu. I am confident that situation will be under control. The way military imposed curfew and bought the situation under control was commendable

I have travelled extensively in N E dear, i know the ground realities, for example in Dimapur they used ask me whether i am an Indian. The army is protecting the streets of Imphal. Similarly in Mizoram we are un welcome. At Kohima they think we are totally intruders. So situation was not normal at all. Just because Indian govt. is encouraging LTC travel others are coming to N E. Otherwise it is as dangerous as Kashmir

I agree derebail that NE is also a dangerous place but there are some difference between the insurgency in north east and the violence fanned by Islamic terrorists in Kashmir, India should learn from Israel how to deal with terrorism and hostile neighbors. China may be supporting the separatists in a covert way but they are not training them in camps in China or sending them inside India as Pakistan is doing with the help of Saudi funding. Saudi Arabia and Pakistan are the biggest sponsors of terrorism in this world and they are responsible directly or indirectly with 99% of terror strikes anywhere in this world.
