On August 15,1947 India did get its independence. But the question that still remains unanswered is "Are the honest, peace loving and patriotic citizens of India really enjoying the fruits of independence?
Those in charge of administering the affairs of our country have never bothered about the welfare of the citizens and carrying out their task sincerely is the last item on their list. Our great politicians come to us with folded hands begging for votes and once our citizens vote them to power in good faith they do what they are not expected to do. In the city of Bangalore for example the elected corp orators never bother to visit their wards till the next election falls due. They are busy enriching themselves with public wealth. None of our politicians have a good social standing. It is not surprising that in some states in our country dacoits, murderers and other categories of criminals are becoming ministers. Nothing could be more shameful! Hand in hand with the ministers bureaucrats are looting the public wealth that is created by the honest tax payers money. If all the stolen wealth that has found its way to the Swiss Bank is routed back to India yeomen service can be done to many a citizen of our great country and the standard of living of an average Indian can be raised. It is very heartening to see that a great son of India Anna Hazare has risen up to the situation to fight against and eradicate corruption. Let us all support him in his noble mission and achieve the real independent India. Let us do justice to the sacrifices made by great people like Shaheed Bhagath Singh so that we can get realised the India of their dreams. Let us not have mercy on any of our corrupt politicians and bureaucrats. Something like the French Revolution should take place in our country. Bharat Matha Ki Jai!

Anna Hazare has made us proud and made politicians look like a gang of crooks. I fully support Om Puri and he should not actually apologize, a overwhelmingly large number of people stand by what Om Puri said on Ramlila Maidan about our politicians.
