Azad's Late Night TV Pill Undermines the Health Benefits of Horizontal Jogging Stepping into controversies like his predecessor Anbumani Ramadoss, Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad advocated late night TV to control population growth. He said that watching TV in the late night and delaying the marriage till 30 years would contribute to the population control.

As a health minister, Azad should know that "Take more exercise" is something doctors are always banging on about. But does banging on the headboard count? Probably not. Because health experts reckon the amount of exercise we need is about 30 minutes per day at least five days a week. Unless you're working in Writer's Building or a charitable trust, that's a target you're unlikely to meet.

As a matter of fact, the average lovemaking session involves quite a good workout and uses about the same energy as climbing a flight of stairs or jogging for 10 minutes in a park.

Humping has other health benefits specially for men, it may reduce pain caused by migraine, arthritis and back trouble, boost your immune system and lower your blood pressure. Also, a healthy and pleasurable sex life is linked to improved self-esteem, better sleep and reduced tension.

When asked, What's the difference between an orgasm and an apple? "ABSOLUTELY NOTHING", was the astonishing answer of very senior consultant of NHS, UK... because they're both supposed to keep the doctor away!

Of course, many of the benefits may be linked more to being in a happy relationship rather than simply to the number of orgasms you have per week. Whatever. It's much more fun than an apple a day.

So, Azad may be on one hand, saving the exchequer from the excess burden of population but the health bills are going to be massive and also its related implication on society if the population is made to convert to couch potatoes.

Instead of the workout which you need too badly, you get glued to TV and invite dreaded disease like diabetes, high blood pressure and coronary artery diseases. POPULATION CONTROL SHOULD NEVER BE IMPLEMENTED AT THE COST OF HORIZONTAL JOGGING, instead the government spend money to educate people for protective, pleasurable and safer sex which will be not only good for population control but for health of the population as well.
